Anne-Marie Rakhorst is an entrepreneur, director, investor and publicist in the field of sustainability. She believes that doing business means grasping opportunities and taking social responsibility.

She is owner and initiator of the independent platform Duurzaamheid.nl and of ’17 doelen die je deelt’ (the 17 goals you share), an initiative that introduces the Sustainable Development Goals to the people of the Netherlands. Before that, Anne-Marie started up the successful company Search Ingenieursbureau and was awarded Businesswomen of the year in 2000.

In the past years, she has published various books on sustainable building, developing and investing. She gives lectures on a regular basis and is asked for her opinion in the media regarding (circular) entrepreneurship, the Sustainable Developement Goals en sustainable investing. Anne-Marie is actively engaged in different boards and initiatives like Koning Willem I Prijs, Transitieagenda Consumptiegoederen (circular economy), SDG Charter, CBS, Milieu Centraal, MVO Nederland and Slum Dwellers International.

As an entrepreneur, investor and publicist, Anne-Marie motivates people to move towards a sustainable economy and environment. ‘I want to make a positive impact as much as possible. These times are incredibly fun and exciting. The challenge is to seize current opportunities. Entrepreneurs hold the key to a sustainable future.’
