Renewable energy has become a priority for sustainable development. Sub-Saharan Africa has a huge potential for producing energy derived from sun, wind and water. It is expected that the use of renewable energy will grow significantly through large as well as small-scale projects However, there are many risks that make it more difficult to finance the development implementation of a viable project. The workshop hosted by Clifford Chance will address some of the challenges that are encountered when financing renewable energy projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. A team of experts will share their experiences and discuss possible solutions or mitigates for the challenges.
